Jill McKay started her dance career as a student at the Dance Spectrum. Since then she has gone on to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City where she concentrated in Theatre Studies. At AMDA, she received training in Musical Theatre, Acting, Voice and Speech Production, Voice Lessons, and Music Theory. Since graduating from AMDA, Jill has performed on the national tour of Anything Goes (serving as the company’s Dance Captain), as well as on some regional tours, including The Music Man, Christmas Dreams, and Have a Nice Day. Jill has also performed in productions with Holland American Cruise Line. Jill is thrilled to be back where she started dance and wants to inspire young dancers to go out and make their dreams reality.
Jill’s goal as a teacher is to create an environment where her students feel comfortable and confident to go beyond their own boundaries and to reach for more then they thought was possible, leaving class with a feeling of accomplishment in their own personal talents. With discipline and structure in her classroom, she aspires to gives her students the tools they need to have a successful future.
